Multi-HR Day for Mack as Chiefs Overpower Mango, 6-3
|
Caldwell and Provo duked it out at Mango Yard and the Chiefs came out victorious.
With left fielder Daron Mack leading the charge, the Caldwell Chiefs defeated the Provo Mango, 6-3, at Mango Yard. Mack, who is tied for 7th in the PA in RBI with 40, hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Getting the save was Luke Warm, his 6th.
Had Mack not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Mack hit a 3-run home run. The Chiefs never looked back after taking the 6-3 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Mack told reporters after the game.
The Chiefs now own a record of 46-29.
