McBride Leads Chiefs to Win
The Caldwell Chiefs topped the Mancelona Torch by the score of 12-9, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Chris McBride. McBride went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Chiefs on the day. Shawn King got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. Luke Warm finished to wrap up his 5th save.

McBride had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from George Kipcak, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Chiefs a 12-9 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for McBride.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said McBride.

The Chiefs improve their record to 43-28 with the win over Mancelona.
