Galesburg played host to Mancelona at the friendly confines of Galesburg Field.

The Galesburg Guzzlers topped the Mancelona Torch, 4-1, in USPL Single A action at Galesburg Field. The player of the game was Galesburg pitcher and Friendly, Maryland native Mike Murdock. Yasujiro Takayama, credited with the save, is now 1 for 3 in save opportunities.

Lucas Smith dealt the Torch a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Galesburg leading 2-0, Smith, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2036 draft, hit a 2-1 changeup for a 2-run double.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Smith.

The Guzzlers saw their win-loss record go to 19-49. At the same time, the Torch fell to 27-41.
