Washington and York duked it out at York Park and the Generals came out victorious.
The Washington Generals topped the York Revolution, 5-2, with left fielder Mark Boyle playing a big role. Boyle went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Generals in the win. Today's win puts Washington at 28-36, while York falls to 31-33.
Boyle came through with some timely hitting for Washington. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and no one down, Boyle hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season made it 1-0, Washington.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Boyle said after the game.
