South Beach Blaze starter Ryan Fry turned in a top-notch performance against the Mancelona Torch at The Ballpark on the Beach. The result was a win for the Blaze, 4-1. Fry got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. Fry allowed 1 earned run. Bing-zhong Qiu nailed down his 1st save.
Making an impact for the home team was Ken Rodríguez. In the bottom of the fourth, the 23-year old catcher had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. That made the score 3-1, Blaze.
