The Delaware 1787 BC got a superb performance from pitcher Arthur Furber, but the York Revolution still won the game, 7-1. Furber was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. York reliever Mihai Dumitru picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Arthur Furber took the loss. Rainer Polonius earned the save for York, his 11th of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for York, had it not been for Ezra Booth, the 22-year old shortstop . Booth contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put York up, 2-1.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Booth.
The Revolution move to 30-29 with the win, while the 1787 BC drop to 27-32.
