York Revolution starter Jordan Guérin pitched a strong game against the Delaware 1787 BC at Carrier Field, leading the Revolution to a 1-0 win. York reliever Willard Kanjuchi picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Peter Routledge took the loss. Jeffery Johnston was credited with the save for York, his 1st of the season.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when shortstop Ezra Booth, who is tied for 6th in the PA in extra base hits with 20, hit a double. The Revolution went on to win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" York manager Jared Gilbert said.
York is in 5th place in the Premier A with a record of 29-29.
