Blaze Win at Washington, 5-4
|
The South Beach Blaze beat the Washington Generals, 5-4, at Washington Park. The Blaze got a fine performance from center fielder Jason Graham, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Rex Aguilera, who threw 106 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits. South Beach is now 40-15, 5 games up in the Premier A.
Graham came through with some timely hitting for South Beach. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and one down, Graham hit a full count cutter for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made it 3-0, South Beach.
