Galesburg starter Jason Poulter pitched effectively against the Mancelona Torch at Galesburg Field. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. Galesburg reliever José Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. George Kipcak shouldered the loss. The Guzzlers improved to 13-39.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Steve Doctor came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Mancelona pitcher George Kipcak, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Galesburg on top, 5-4.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Doctor.
