Mango Get Road Win, 4-3

The Provo Mango picked up a win at Washington Park, knocking off the Washington Generals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Carlos López played a key role in the triumph. López, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Alberto Ramos was credited with the save for Provo, his 4th of the season.
Provo used the timely hitting of Benjamin Blunsdon to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mango on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," López said after the game.
Provo now sits at 30-21, while Washington falls to 21-30.
