The exploits of center fielder Klaas Westerduin, who leads the PA in triples with 4, helped the Galesburg Guzzlers defeat the Walla Walla Walleye, 4-2. Westerduin went 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The 'W' lifts Galesburg's record to 11-35.

The Walleye had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Guzzlers going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old second baseman Clint Morgan came to the plate. Morgan hit a 2-run single on a 0-1 fastball from Walla Walla hurler Moriz Gaidamakin. It was Morgan's 1st hit of the year.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Westerduin said.
