Greenville starter Neil Franson pitched effectively against the Oakland Oaks at 84s Field. The right-hander led his team to a 1-0 win. Franson got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Franson allowed no earned runs. Sima Babic sewed up the save, his 3rd.

Danny Trautmann was 1 for 1 with a walk for Greenville. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Faisal bin Nabeel. It was his 12th RBI of the season.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Franson told the Greenville Bulletin.

The Oaks drop to 8-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2036 season.
