Blaze Win in Extras
|
Caldwell second baseman Jaime Soto had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 14-12, to South Beach at Pipers Ballpark. Soto hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 4. It was the 12th win in 17 games this year for the defending champion Blaze, who are picking up where they left off.
Doug Cole hit a 2-run home run off Juan David Pozo in the top of the 11th, which put the Blaze ahead, 14-12. In addition to the homer, Cole had 2 singles and 1 double, while going 4 for 7.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said South Beach manager Wilson Alvarado.
