Stingers Subdue Nashville, 4-2
|
It was a good time at Pacesetter Park, where fans came to watch the Nashville Outlaws and Toledo Stingers get after it.
The Toledo Stingers topped the Nashville Outlaws, 4-2, in United States Silver League action at Pacesetter Park. The player of the game was Toledo pitcher Tupac Blanch. The Outlaws, now 4-9, continue their slow start.
Tamasaburo Kato drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances. He drove in 2 runs for Toledo. The 36-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Barry Rozner. It was his 11th walk of the season.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds.
