Cook, Smokies Get 3-0 Win
|
The Tennessee Smokies got a magnificent performance from pitcher Bernard Cook, who stifled the Niagara Falls offense en route to a 3-0 Smokies win at Waterfall Park. Joe Gram earned the save, his 10th, for the Smokies. Tennessee now has a 3-game win streak.
Cook allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 8 innings for the Smokies. He walked 0 and struck out 6.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Tennessee skipper Jerome Perry.
