Dragoons Fall Short, 1-0, at Myrtle Beach
|
The Louisiana Dragoons got a superb performance from pitcher Sean Halls. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Myrtle Beach. The Seahawks won the game, 1-0. In spite of the loss, Halls was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. The winner was Máximo Ruíz in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Sean Halls took the loss. Ralph Owens got the save, his 6th in 10 chances.
Myrtle Beach grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Miguel Pacheco delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Seahawks.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Louisiana manager Santiago Vargas. "The effort was great."
Myrtle Beach now has a 3-game win streak.
