Storm Shut Out Airmen
|
The Syracuse Storm went home winners at Alameda Field, thanks in large part to starter Ramón Flores. Flores silenced the Alameda Airmen, enabling Syracuse to grab the 6-0 win. The Storm, at 38-26, sit in 4th place in the Silver A.
Early in the game, designated hitter Kent Maxwell had a run-scoring double for Syracuse. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Storm on top, 1-0.
"We had a nice day," said Syracuse skipper Theodore Johnston.
