Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Expos
|
The Niagara Falls Expos picked up a win at Waterfall Park, knocking off the Syracuse Storm, 4-1. On the mound for Niagara Falls was left-hander Mike Hess, who played a pivotal role in the win. Niagara Falls reliever Edison Carter was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Lex Janssen took the loss for Syracuse. Even with the win, the Expos have a dismal 15-47 record.
Niagara Falls won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Lex Janssen on the mound for Syracuse, designated hitter Reynaldo Suárez hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Expos fans to their feet.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Suárez.
