Tight Tilt Goes to Seahawks, 2-1
|
Myrtle Beach played host to Chicago at the friendly confines of Seahwaks Stadium.
The Seahawks grabbed a win, 2-1, at Seahwaks Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Jason Lissenberg. Lissenberg went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Getting the save was Xiu-tou Song, his 3rd.
Kyle Goodbrand aided the Myrtle Beach cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a double.
In postgame comments to the Myrtle Beach Observer, Goodbrand said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Seahawks raised their record to 33-28.
