Seahawks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Tula
|
Seahawks right fielder Pat Pending put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Chicago Tula. Pending went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Myrtle Beach in the contest. The win was Xiu-tou Song's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Riccardo Muijlwijk took the loss for Chicago. The current losing streak for Chicago has reached 5 games.
Pending had a game-changing double in the top of the 12th. On a 0-1 fastball from Riccardo Muijlwijk, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Seahawks a 6-5 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Pending.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Kyle Holman, the Myrtle Beach skipper.
