Louisiana Beats Myrtle Beach, 8-5
|
Myrtle Beach shortstop Miguel Pacheco was sensational. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Louisiana beat the Seahawks, 8-5. Pacheco was named the player of the game despite the loss. Louisiana reliever José López picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Josh Hall shouldered the loss. Wesley Mason earned the save, his 9th.
In the top of the second, Junior Young hit a 3-run home run for Louisiana. The 1st home run of the season for the Louisiana catcher put the Dragoons on top, 3-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Young after the game.
The third-place Dragoons are now 14-7, the Seahawks 11-10.
