Seahawks Top Expos in Extras

Myrtle Beach beat Niagara Falls at Waterfall Park, escaping with a 9-8 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Juan Fuentes, who earned player of the game honors. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Myrtle Beach reliever Ralph Owens picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Edison Carter shouldered the loss. The win gives Myrtle Beach a record of 9-8.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Fuentes delivered big-time for Myrtle Beach, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Edison Carter. The game-changing hit put the Seahawks on top, 9-7.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Niagara Falls manager Terry Stokes. "But we decided not to take it."
