Multi-HR Game for Morán in 3-2 Win
|
The Put-In-Bay BC did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Syracuse Storm at Storm Park. Nobody did more than left fielder Jesús Morán, who captured player of the game honors. Reliever Pascal Bourdon picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Lex Janssen took the loss. Jack Ortíz, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Morán had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The BC went on to win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Syracuse skipper Theodore Johnston, "and it cost us."
With the win, Put-In-Bay goes to 5-5.
