Expos Use Late-Game Magic to Beat BC
The Put-In-Bay BC got a superb performance from pitcher Freddy Martínez, but the Niagara Falls Expos still won the game, 3-2. Martínez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He came in in relief and pitched to 22 batters . Losses have been few and far between for the BC so far this season. Their record drops to 4-2.

John Castro was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Expos pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Castro told the Niagara Falls Observer: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
