Storm Nip Seahawks, 3-2
|
The Syracuse Storm got a good effort from starter Lex Janssen in defeating the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Seahwaks Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Picking up the save was José Colón, his 1st. With the win, Syracuse improves its record to 2-3.
Syracuse left fielder Mitchell Pate contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Storm ahead, 3-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Janssen told the Syracuse Herald.
