Dragoons Roll to 8-1 Win Over Reefers
|
Louisiana Dragoons starter Mark Smith had all his pitches working at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Louisiana win over the Cape Coral Reefers. The winning pitcher was Smith, now 1-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Gorgonio Ebalo was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Early in the game, second baseman Edgar Wright had a 3-run home run for Louisiana. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Dragoons on top, 3-0.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Wright told the Louisiana Bulletin.
Louisiana, now 2-1, has played well in the early going.
