Great Day for Overshown in River Rats Win
|
The Columbia River Rats topped the Lake Erie Arryns, 10-6, with left fielder DeMarvion Overshown playing a big role. Overshown went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the River Rats in the win. Columbia reliever Gabriel Flowers picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Greg Hoover absorbed the loss. At 59-31, the River Rats find themselves in second place in the Menard's A.
Kieran Hansen was a prime factor in the win for the River Rats. In the bottom of the fifth with one out, the 22-year old second baseman hit a run-scoring single. He was 2-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Overshown said.
