Tafalla Stars in Rainbow Mermaids Win
The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids saddled the Nashville Outlaws with a loss at Nashville Stadium. The final score was 13-6. Eustacio Tafalla, named player of the game, was 3 for 5, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Northern Virginia shortstop scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Ratko Davidovic picked up the save for Northern Virginia, his 1st of the year. With the win, Northern Virginia improves its record to 3-0.

The Outlaws had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Rainbow Mermaids going into the top of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old left fielder Steven Rohrs came to the plate. Rohrs hit a 2-run single on a 2-2 changeup from Nashville hurler António Muñóz. It was Rohrs's 2nd hit of the year.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager David Lister said.
