Extra-Inning Win by River Rats over Bulls
|
Columbia beat Belleville at Columbia Stadium, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Vincent Hubbard, who earned player of the game honors. The win was credited to Hedi Charlet in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Ken Dundee took the loss. Columbia has now won 5 games in a row.
José García tagged a home run off Ken Dundee in the bottom of the 12th. His solo blast put the River Rats on top, 2-1. In all, García had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," García told the Columbia Bulletin.
