Chukars Come Up Short at Grim
|
Benefiting from Scott Askey's productive game, the Grim Reapers downed the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-3. Askey went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Reapers. The win was Ramón Ruíz's in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Stan Burgemeester took the loss for Idaho Falls. Wilbert Gallegos finished the game for Grim and earned his 4th save.
Jaxton Goleta drew 1 walk for Grim. In the bottom of the third, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Goleta delivered for the Reapers. His run-scoring walk put Grim on top, 2-1.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Idaho Falls manager Greg Keys, "let me know."
Grim has now won 6 straight.
