Goodwill Helps Voodoo Beat Battery
The New Orleans Voodoo powered past the Charleston Battery, 9-1, at The Voodoo Lounge. Colm Goodwill went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Eric Matson got the win, improving to 14-5. He held the Battery to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The Voodoo bumped their record to 63-45 with this latest triumph.

The Voodoo got a big at-bat from left fielder Alexis Raimbault. For the game, Raimbault was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 15th double of the season gave New Orleans a 3-0 lead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Goodwill told the New Orleans Daily.
