Hotspur U-21 Mow Down Chukars, 9-0
|
Phoenix starter Umebayashi Naofumi kept the Idaho Falls hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a 9-0 win. The Hotspur U-21 now have a mark of 29-34.
Phoenix used the timely hitting of Ronnie Wise to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Hotspur U-21 on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came out aggressive," said Hotspur U-21 manager Tommy Wade. "We came out swinging the bats."
