Chukars Clip Hawks in Tight Contest

The Idaho Falls Chukars turned back the Laredo Hawks, 4-3, at Idaho Falls Park. Júlio Solís was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. Reliever Muoi Hoan picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Stephenson took the loss. At 35-22, the Chukars find themselves in third place in the Menard's A.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Idaho Falls right fielder Jing-quo Sung, facing Jim Stephenson, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Chukars the 4-3 win.
"This place was rockin'," Solís said.
