Sean Neely pitched a gem to lead Phoenix to a 3-1 victory over the Columbia River Rats. Phoenix goes to 25-29, Columbia to 35-19.

The Hotspur U-21 got a lift from catcher Tim Gray, who in the bottom of the fourth stroked a first pitch changeup into right for a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Hotspur U-21 ahead, 1-0.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Columbia skipper Kyle Besley, "and it cost us."
