Caterpillars Drop Hawks with Late Score

The Laredo Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Dave Hamilton. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Grand Forks. The Caterpillars won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Hamilton was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Alejandro Amador picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Dave Hamilton was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Grand Forks at 21-30, while Laredo falls to 26-25.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when first baseman Gabriel Muńóz grounded out. The Caterpillars went on to win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Muńóz said.
