Vandals Drop Another One
|
The Phoenix Hotspur U-21 dealt the Eugene Vandals a 6-5 loss at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. Ronnie Wise was the star on offense. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. William Mold got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. Eugene, at 11-39, has lost 5 straight.
Phoenix grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Wise, who is tied for 5th in the 3A in RBI with 32, hit a bases-clearing double. His 12th double of the season put the Hotspur U-21 out in front, 4-3.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Wise after the game.
