Hot Start Continues for Patriots

Boston and Las Vegas duked it out at The Strip and the Patriots came out victorious.
The Boston Patriots stymied the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-2, at The Strip. Wilbur Davis, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Boston. Sam Mooney, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 2-0. Leo Ingelbrigtsen was credited with the save for Boston, his 1st of the season.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Davis, who won the Gold Bat in 2030, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Patriots into the lead, 2-0.
"I'm proud to wear a Boston jersey," Davis told the Boston Citizen. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
The Patriots keep rolling, raising their record to 8-3.
