Patriots Win at Philadelphia 1776, 2-0
|
The Boston Patriots got a strong performance from pitcher Darby Marshall, who stymied the Philadelphia 1776 offense en route to a 2-0 win at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. The Patriots have an impressive 65-37 record.
Boston used the timely hitting of Roland Deschain to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Patriots on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Josh Swain.
