It was a good time at Loony Bin, where fans came to watch the Springfield Shooters and Minnesota Loons get after it.

Getting a good performance from third baseman Igme Samson, the Minnesota Loons defeated the Springfield Shooters, 12-9. Samson was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Loons. The win puts the Loons at 52-48, while the Shooters drop to 43-57.

Héctor Espiga, who is tied for 10th in the PAA in doubles with 20, chipped in for Minnesota with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI.
