Love Boats Squelch Shooters Offense in Shutout Win
Lake Minnetonka Love Boats starter Giuseppe Farina turned in a top-notch performance against the Springfield Shooters at Heron Field. The result was a win for the Love Boats, 4-0. Farina got the win, improving to 9-8. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Farina allowed no earned runs. Lake Minnetonka is now 47-48. Springfield is 41-54.

Lake Minnetonka designated hitter Matt Palmer contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup into left-center field for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Love Boats ahead, 3-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Farina. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
