Grasshoppers Down Ghosts, 3-1
|
San Bernardino starter Jordan Guérin had a strong outing against the Casper Ghosts at Field of the Grasshoppers. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. San Bernardino reliever Rainer Polonius was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Ipe de Deugd. Júlio Antunez got the save, the 14th for him this season.
San Bernardino took a 3-1 lead on Albert Seals's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Casper pitcher Ipe de Deugd in the bottom of the seventh.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Guérin told reporters after the game.
San Bernardino, at 55-36, occupies second place in the Premier AA.
