López Lays Hammer Down in 6-1 Win
Tacoma had no answer for Mercer Island Screaming Eagles hurler Alberto López, who overwhelmed Fur Traders hitters as the Screaming Eagles coasted to a 6-1 victory. The Fur Traders, at 34-41, have lost 4 in a row.

López, who leaned on his slider, allowed 1 run on just 2 hits over 8.2 innings for the Screaming Eagles. For the most part, Tacoma hitters were simply overmatched.

"I thought we played a nice game," López told the Mercer Island Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
