Voodoo Come Back Late, Nip Bowties
|
The New Orleans Voodoo faced a tough opponent in Buckhead pitcher Oscar Kenselaar, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Voodoo Lounge by a final score of 2-1. Kenselaar went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. New Orleans reliever Marcos Mesorana was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Ignacio Ayala. Buckhead has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Alexis Raimbault took Ignacio Ayala deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Voodoo on top, 2-1. In all, Raimbault had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Buckhead skipper Kerry Hofmeister, "and it cost us."
