|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats had to overcome a big game from Westwood designated hitter Juan Carlos Vázquez to leave Heron Field with a 8-4 victory. Vázquez hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Cipriano Pinto, who threw 88 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. Lake Minnetonka bumps their record to 28-33 with the win.
Arto Toikka, who is tied for 4th in the PAA in stolen bases with 17, chipped in for Lake Minnetonka with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 4 RBI.
