Despite a great performance by San Bernardino second baseman John Clark, the Atlantic City Sonics defeated the Grasshoppers by the score of 6-3 at Field of the Grasshoppers. Clark went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. The 4th-place Sonics raised their record to 31-22.

Atlantic City used the timely hitting of Todd Bonzalez to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sonics on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bonzalez.
