Ghosts Raise Rally Flag, Beat Lake Minnetonka, 10-7
|
Lake Minnetonka shortstop António Amaya was sensational. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Casper beat the Love Boats, 10-7. Amaya was named the player of the game despite the loss. The last-place Ghosts raised their record to 12-30.
Casper used the clutch hitting of Tatsui Kiyomizu to capture the win. The catcher drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Ghosts the lead, 9-7. For the game, Kiyomizu had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We'll savor this win," Kiyomizu told the Casper Today, "then get ready for the next game."
