Shooters Rally For Late Win Over Ghosts
The Springfield Shooters powered past the Casper Ghosts, 8-6, at Springfield Stadium. Clint Morgan was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. Springfield reliever Gilberto Chávez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Melvin Conner took the loss. Their 14-17 record puts the Shooters 7th in the Premier AA.

Morgan had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a full count cutter from Melvin Conner, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Shooters a 8-6 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Morgan.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Morgan, "but we got it done."
