|
Charleston Battery starter Carlos Medina pitched a strong game against the Portland Evergreens at Evergreen Park, leading the Battery to a 5-4 win. The save went to Kenete Daku, his 23rd this season. At 55-39, the Battery find themselves in second place in the Premier League.
Jasper Morrison, who leads the PL in triples with 7, aided the Charleston cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the ninth. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Morrison.
