Grasshoppers Sneak Past Ghosts, 4-3

With right fielder Michael Carter leading the charge, the San Bernardino Grasshoppers defeated the Casper Ghosts, 4-3, at The Graveyard. Carter went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ewan Atwood finished the game for San Bernardino and earned his 2nd save. The win gives San Bernardino a record of 3-3.
Carter had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 3-1 cutter from Melvin Conner, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Grasshoppers a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Carter.
Casper manager Martin Gaines said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
