BC Edge Voodoo, 5-4
|
People near Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
The Philadelphia 1776 BC wiggled past the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-4, at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. Philadelphia 1776 first baseman Karl Blanke earned player of the game honors. The BC now have a record of 50-42.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Blanke hit a curveball from Rémi Ribeiro for a solo home run. The BC, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Philadelphia 1776 manager Josh Swain.
